My Journey with Parwaaz Hai Junoon: An Honest Movie Review By A Die-hard Fan

If you are here to read a review describing the movie in the most beautiful manner and from the best perspective, you won't get what you want. I just finished watching the movie and if you are even the slightest bit of a Lollywood fan, you would know what Parwaaz Hai Junoon is. With that, I assume it doesn't need an introduction. I just finished watching Parwaaz Hai Junoon (starring Hania Amir, Shaaz Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Kubra Khan, and Ahad Raza Mir). I'm not gonna lie, I have been the greatest fan of Hania Amir since before she started her blooming career which was the primary reason this 13-year-old was as excited for the movie when it got released 3 years ago as Hania Amir herself when she received the award for her acting in the film. Unfortunately, I belong to a family that looks down upon the acting and drama industry as disgraceful and vulgar so watching the movie was a no-no for me at that time. I was told to wait for the movie to appear on random internet movie sites since watching it in a cinema would be a "waste of money and time". Left with no option, I waited 3 years to watch the movie which involved trying to hunt it down every week. But that didn't mean I would have to wait out the fangirling phase too. I watched all the trailers, song videos, award shows, and performances related to Parwaaz Hai Junoon, learning to mimic my favorite scenes of my favorite actors from the trailers. One of them was the wink of Hamza Ali Abbasi at Hania Amir during the film dance performance of 'Nache Re'. Moreover, I downloaded all the songs in the movie, performed 2 of them at 3 different family and social events. Talk about addictions. Concluding my journey of longing for the movie until today, let's get down to my opinion about the movie.

Honestly, Mind-blowing! It was exactly as I had anticipated, provoking love for Pakistan's Airforce, patriotism properly in the audience. It hit all the soft spots with its emotional takes. Not gonna lie, I cried about 3 times throughout the film and I am that person who barely sheds a tear at emotional movies/dramas. The movie's comedic aspect and thrill weren't neglected either. However, I will have to say the plot was very weak. Showcasing this strong an aspect of a Pakistani's heart, it shouldn't have been difficult to add some plot twists and turns, giving the story some hype to prevent it from being like every other patriotic film ever. Apart from that, the dialogues could have used some spice. It was definitely predictable but enough to touch millions of hearts inside and outside Pakistan! I am finally at peace! Not having watched the movie was like having a tiny something missing all the time. I would grieve the fact that I am the only one who hasn't watched the movie among my friends yet. Finally watching the movie extinguished that fire within 2 hours and 10 minutes. If my academic course consisted of Parwaaz Hai Junoon, I would never worry about my grades again. Anyway, my research is completed and heart satisfied. Inserted below are some links to watch the movie, and other videos related to it. Enjoy:)
